Kumail Aslam

Kumail Aslam is an Associate Attorney at Shegerian & Associates, where he stands up for employees facing workplace injustices. He represents clients through every stage of litigation—including depositions, discovery, motion practice, settlement negotiations, and trial preparation—with dedication, empathy, and a results-driven approach.

Before joining Shegerian & Associates, Mr. Aslam served as a Certified Law Clerk at the San Mateo County District Attorney’s Office, where he conducted preliminary hearings, argued motions, and drafted trial briefs. He also gained valuable experience in workers’ compensation defense, representing employers and insurance carriers in both the public and private sectors. Having practiced on both the plaintiff and defense sides, Mr. Aslam brings a well-rounded perspective to his advocacy—understanding how employers and insurers evaluate claims and using that insight to better protect workers’ rights.

Mr. Aslam earned his J.D. from Santa Clara University School of Law, where he focused on trial advocacy and public service and served as Vice President of the Student Bar Association. He received his B.A. in Government from Georgetown University, where he served as a Senator in the Student Association and Vice President of the Muslim Students Association.

A first-generation Pakistani American and Bay Area native, Mr. Aslam is deeply committed to expanding access to justice and promoting inclusion within the legal profession.

Outside of work, he enjoys exploring national parks with his wife and family, reading history and high fantasy novels, and playing video games with friends.
