Deepika Chandrashekar
Deepika Chandrashekar is an Associate Attorney at Shegerian & Associates, where she represents employees in a wide range of employment law matters, including claims involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and wrongful termination. She is committed to protecting the rights of workers and advocating for justice in both state and federal courts.
An Orange County native, Ms. Chandrashekar earned her Bachelor of Arts in History of Public Policy & Law from the University of California, Santa Barbara, with a minor in Feminist Studies. She went on to receive her Juris Doctor from Pepperdine Caruso School of Law, where she served as Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of the National Association of Administrative Law Judiciary.
During law school, Ms. Chandrashekar was a Certified Law Student in Pepperdine’s Ninth Circuit Appellate Advocacy Clinic. There, she briefed and argued a case before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, successfully securing a reversal of the district court’s summary judgment ruling in Glenn Elliott Leonard v. Collette Peters, et al. She also gained valuable judicial experience through an externship with the Honorable Kimberly Knill at the Orange County Superior Court.
Prior to joining Shegerian & Associates, Ms. Chandrashekar worked at two respected plaintiff-side litigation firms specializing in employment law, where she developed her skills as a zealous and effective advocate for employees.
