Deepika Chandrashekar
Deepika Chandrashekar is an Associate Attorney at Shegerian & Associates, where she focuses her practice on advocating for employees in discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and wrongful termination matters. She has experience handling cases at every stage of the litigation process, including pre-litigation negotiations, discovery, motion practice, trial, arbitration, mediation, and appeals.
An Orange County native, Ms. Chandrashekar earned her Bachelor of Arts in History of Public Policy & Law from the University of California, Santa Barbara, with a minor in Feminist Studies. She received her Juris Doctor from the Pepperdine Caruso School of Law, where she served as Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of the National Association of Administrative Law Judiciary.
During law school, Ms. Chandrashekar participated as a Certified Law Student in Pepperdine’s Ninth Circuit Appellate Advocacy Clinic, where she briefed and argued a case before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, successfully obtaining a reversal of the district court’s summary judgment ruling in Glenn Elliott Leonard v. Collette Peters, et al.
Deepika is committed to protecting the rights of workers and advocating for justice in both state and federal courts. Prior to joining Shegerian & Associates, Ms. Chandrashekar worked at two respected plaintiff-side litigation firms specializing in employment law, where she developed her skills as a zealous and effective advocate for employees.
