Divya M. Schlesinger
Divya Schlesinger is an Associate Attorney at Shegerian & Associates, where she is proud to advocate for the underrepresented and underserved.
Divya earned her Juris Doctor from the University of California College of the Law, San Francisco (formerly UC Hastings). During law school, she served as a Clinic Counselor for the Workers’ Rights Clinic—a free legal assistance program supporting low-income and unemployed individuals—from 2022 to 2024. She also held the role of Communications Chair for the Employment and Labor Law Student Association in 2023–2024. Through these experiences, Divya discovered her passion for employment law and developed her skills in case analysis, persuasive advocacy, and client-centered representation.
After passing the bar, Divya began her legal career at a civil litigation firm in San Francisco, where she strengthened her litigation skills and gained exposure to a variety of practice areas. Although she valued that experience, Divya’s commitment to protecting employees’ rights ultimately led her to join Shegerian & Associates.
Before law school, Divya earned her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Government from Smith College and her Master’s degree in International Relations and Affairs from the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies in Geneva, Switzerland. She is fluent in French.
Divya approaches every case with empathy, professionalism, and dedication. Outside of her legal work, she enjoys creative writing, film analysis, acting, and perfecting regional accents from around the world.
