In finding for Dr. Lauren Pinter-Brown on her state law sex discrimination and retaliation claims against the Regents of the University of California, the Los Angeles County Superior Court jury said her damages included more than $3 million in past and future lost wages, and $10 million in emotional distress.

However, the jury found for the regents on Pinter- Brown’s state law age discrimination claim.

Her attorney, Carney Shegerian of Shegerian & Associates in Santa Monica, praised the jury after the verdict and suggested a larger issue within the university system.
